/When writing for healthcare, we’re often told to use “plain language.” But what does that mean? October is Health Literacy Month, and Prevent Child Injury is highlighting this great health communication resource from the Center for Health Experience Design to encourage members to learn more about the importance of creating content with health literacy in mind.
In this session, the Center for Health Experience Design gives viewers tips and tricks on how to write with clear concise language that’s inclusive, accessible, and fun. The webinar also touches on SEO, readability tools, identifying plain language, measuring the success of plain language across populations, and finding resources to reduce jargon and clarify language. National Injury Prevention Day is right around the corner on Nov 18th 2023. The Injury Free Coalition for Kids is seeking organizational commitments to join forces to support and promote NIPD by signing onto this document via survey monkey link by Friday, October 13th.
