Monthly Spotlight: America's Poison Centers

In honor of National Poison Prevention Week, this month's spotlight shines a light on America's Poison Centers, a nationwide network of 55 poison centers providing free, expert medical advice 24/7. By calling 1-800-222-1222 or visiting www.poisonhelp.org, anyone can get immediate assistance for poison-related emergencies. Staffed by trained toxicology specialists, these centers help reduce unnecessary ER visits and save lives.

America’s Poison Centers also focuses on data and education, tracking poison exposures and offering resources to help families and communities stay safer around risks like medications, carbon monoxide, and household chemicals. Additionally, America's Poison Centers hosts the National Poison Prevention Week Council to coordinate messaging and activities around the week.
